Pavement Rehabilitation Phase 4
Kimball Avenue from Fremont Boulevard to Wheeler Street and Wheeler Street from Hilby Avenue to Kimball Avenue
Granite Rock Company started construction of the FY 2021/2022 Pavement Rehabilitation Project for the City of Seaside on October 24, 2022.
The Project construction includes pavement rehabilitation on Kimball Avenue from Fremont Boulevard to Wheeler Street and Wheeler Street from Hilby Avenue to Kimball Avenue, base repairs and microsurfacing of the northern and southern ends of Fremont Boulevard, several base repair locations throughout the City, and citywide street restriping.
Preconstruction activities on Kimball Avenue and Wheeler Street was originally scheduled to begin the week of November 7th. Due to rain, they will now begin on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Subsequent paving activities of Kimball Avenue and Wheeler Street will follow and are subject to change due to inclement weather. Paving will not start on November 28th as originally scheduled. Base repairs on Fremont Boulevard will occur over a two-day period and be conducted at night. Microsurfacing of Fremont Boulevard and citywide street restriping is postponed until spring 2023, when there are more favorable temperature and moisture conditions.
Traffic and pedestrian control will be in place for public safety. Parking will be restricted and lane closures may be required; motorists should expect delays. If you have any questions about the construction work, please contact Granite Rock Company at (831) 588-8517.
