2. The City of Seaside values our citizen volunteers who are donating their time, skills, and passions to help make our community better. The expertise and guidance that Boards, Commissions & Committees provide the City Council as the final decision-making body is very important and relied upon heavily by the Council when issues are discussed. Commissions were created for the purpose of overseeing distinct issues and subjects affecting a city. Current City of Seaside Commissions: Planning Commission, Board of Architectural Review, Art and History Commission, Neighborhood Improvement Commission, Community Development Advisory Committee, Parks and Recreation Commission, Homeless Commission, and Environmental Commission.
