City Council meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, with special meetings as needed. Meetings of the Successor Agency of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Seaside are typically held prior to the City Council meetings on the third Thursday of each month with special meetings as needed.

City Council meetings are broadcast live to all Seaside residents who subscribe to Comcast cable television service on Channel 25 on the date and time of the scheduled meeting as well as to U-verse subscribers on Channel 99 on the date and time of the scheduled meeting.

For the benefit of residents who cannot attend these meetings in person or watch the live airing, the City Council meetings are broadcast to all Seaside residents who subscribe to Comcast cable television service on Channel 25 the following Saturday at 4 p.m. with a rebroadcast to air immediately after; replays will also be available the following Monday at 12 p.m. and Thursday at 6 p.m. (on non-Council weeks).
